On February 20 Robert will set out from Cape Reinga to ride the length of Te Ika a Maui (the North Island).

In Wellington, the baton passes to Marianne who will ride the length of Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island), all the way to Bluff.

About Tour Aotearoa

Tour Aotearoa is a 3000km bike-packing adventure down the length of New Zealand. Riders are to be self-supported and complete the journey within 30 days.

The designated route avoids busy highways where possible, instead following bike trails, back roads, beaches, ... See route here.

Along the way there are photo check-points where you take a photo of yourself as evidence of your progress. There are a few rules.
